Come join us at Rainier Beach Urban Farm & Wetlands for a fun and educational night about beavers with Beavers Insights, Beavers Northwest, and the Washington State Dept. of Fish and Wildlife. We will be learning about beaver behavior and their habitat in our urban waterways!

This event is free, family-friendly and open to all. Please wear appropriate shoes, and we recommend bringing bug spray. No registration or RSVP required. Put it in your calendar and come!

Event Schedule

  • 5 p.m. — We will start with a family-friendly activity and snacks.
  • 6 p.m. — BEAVER 101: Educational talk covering beaver behavior and biology.
  • 7 p.m. — Beaver walk: Learn how to identify signs of beavers on a walk around the farm.

About Rainier Beach Urban Farm & Wetlands

This community farm in the Rainier Beach neighborhood is Seattle’s largest urban farm. Co-operated with the Friends of Rainier Beach Urban Farm & Wetlands, and owned by Seattle Parks and Recreation, the farm is home to annual and perennial vegetables, raised beds, native plants, greenhouses, giant blueberry bushes, wetlands, a nature trail and a large compost area
