From Reingard Rieger:
Hello,
I’d like to tell you about our free in-depth training program for Master Composter/Sustainability Stewards here in Seattle. Could you please share this with your community?
If you know Seattle residents who are interested in soil health, composting, recycling, and waste prevention topics, please let them know about becoming Master Composter/Sustainability Stewards. This free training program is looking for individuals who want to learn more about these topics and then share what they learned in their communities.
Starting on March 13, we will teach 11 classes via Zoom and in person in both Seattle’s Wallingford and Rainier Beach neighborhoods, followed by volunteer activities throughout the city. Our teachers are subject-matter experts but there is no expectation of prior knowledge. A more detailed description of this year’s volunteer training and the link to the application form can be found on our webpage at https://tilthalliance.org/our-work/environmental-stewardship/master-composter-sustainability-stewards/mcss-training/.
Application is open until February 19.
There are lots of ways to share info about MCSS:
- We are on Facebook and Instagram as SeattleMCSS and will continue putting up a range of different posts about the training program. Please widely share from there.
- The attached fliers can be printed and posted in community areas.
- The square image with the banana is ideal for using in visual social media posts.
- If you want to direct folks to the website, this is the link: https://tilthalliance.org/our-work/environmental-stewardship/master-composter-sustainability-stewards/mcss-training/
We strive to put together a diverse cohort that represents all of Seattle’s communities. Your help spreading the word will be much appreciated!
Thank you,
