Meeting With Legislators

Meeting with your legislators makes a difference!

Leaders and volunteers with SSCAN often meet with our legislators at every level of government. We do so in person and, since the pandemic, we also meet online. We believe that building personal relationships with our legislators is important. During meetings, we are able to explain what our legislative priorities are and we are also able to learn about the priorities or our legislators. We look for common ground and celebrate the places where our priorities align and we also look for the places where we don’t align but where we might be able to influence our legislators.
